CHIEF CHAMBERLAIN ORUWARI OYIBO
Chairman

Chief Chamberlain Oyibo had his formal education in Petroleum Geology at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and the University of Calgary, Alberta in Canada.
Chief Oyibo has thirty years experience in petroleum exploration, refining and administration; and is a former Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
At present, he is the Chairman/Chief Executive of Prime Energy Resources Limited, a private company involved in areas of petroleum, energy and management consultancy. He is a Fellow and past president of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) and also the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE).
Chief Oyibo who also serves on the Boards of many other companies.

MR. AKIN A. OGUNBIYI (B.Sc, MBA, ACII)
MANAGING DIRECTOR / CHIEF EXECUTIVE

An Economist, Consultant and Insurance Professional, Mr. Ogunbiyi is a graduate of Agricultural Economics from the University of Ife. He is also an alumnus of the famous International Graduate School of Management, University of Navarra (IESE) Barcelona, Spain where he took an Executive Masters in Business Administration. In addition, he is an alumnus of Lagos Business School.
An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, he did not only complete his Associateship examination in record time, Mr. Ogunbiyi has the rare honour of securing the highest number of distinctions in the professional examination in two sittings.
He had his insurance training in NICON from where he moved to start the Finance and Insurance Experts Limited - a multi-disciplinary consultancy firm, as pioneer Associate Director/Ag. Chief Executive.
Mr. Ogunbiyi serves on the board of many other companies.

MR. G. U. AGOFURE (B.Sc, ACII)
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Mr. Godspower Agofure holds the Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos as well as Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute London.
He has been working in the Insurance industry since June 1984. He began his working career in Nigeria Victory Assurance Company, Kano and later worked in Hogg Robinson Nigeria and Fidelity Bond of Nigeria. He rose to the position of Director Technical in Corporate Alliance and General Insurance Company (now Alliance and General Insurance Plc) from where he joined Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc.
He was involved in the management of the consolidated insurance package of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for many years as an Insurance Broker and was part of the team that conducted insurance surveys of the four refineries in Nigeria in 1995 and 1996.
He is an expert in Oil and Energy risks and Risk Management.

MR. DAVID BALOGUN ( ACII ([London], MBA)
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mr. David Balogun is an Executive Director fo trhe company. A holder of Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Management and Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute London, Mr. Balogun’s experience has spanned over 28 years starting from his days as a life underwriter in American International Insurance Co. Limited, Claims Manager in NICON to his appointment as Deputy General Manager (Technical) Gateway Insurance Co. Limited, before crossing over to IGI in 1992 as a Director. Mr. Balogun is a seasoned technocrat whose deep and diverse expertise in life underwriting, claims management as well as marketing and product s development has earned him considerable respect and goodwill in the Insurance industry.

MR. SOYE OLATUNJI (B.Sc, MBA)
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mr. Soye Olatunji, a Chartered Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from University of Lagos.
He had over 20 years of a cumulative experience in audit and tax consultancy, accounting and general management. He was erstwhile General Manager – Best Oils Limited Ibadan, Oyo State and Finance Director – Vitamalt Plc, Agbara Industrial Estate, Ogun State. He joined Ventures & Trust Limited (V&T) as Managing Associate and Chief Financial Officer in 2003. He disengaged from V&T in May 2006, purposely to pursue the development of his entrepreneurial skill.
He has a broad based, hands-on knowledge in business restructuring, private capital formation and strategic planning. He is result-driven and self-motivated and has received varied training locally and abroad. Mr Olatunji is currently pioneering the development of a chain of Compressed Natural Gas stations and a technology company that will provide conversion services for customers.

MR. AKIN OPEODU
DIRECTOR

Mr. Akin Opeodu is the Managing Director of VT Leasing Limited, a pioneering equipment leasing company in Nigeria. He is a Chartered Accountant with over twenty five years post-qualification experience and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and also a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, United Kingdom.
Mr. Opeodu's working experience spans audit practice, commerce, industry and finance. He was formerly the Financial Controller of Vegetable and Fruits Processing Limited. He was on the Board of Owena Bank (Nigeria) Plc (now Omegabank Plc), during which he served on the Finance and Establishment Committees of the Board where his positive contributions were highly commended. He is also a Director on the board of Integrated Autocare Limited, Chairman of Kemson Concepts Ltd (specialists in business information technology), Chairman of VTL Insurance Brokers Ltd, Director of Multinational Technologies Ltd (an oil service company) and he is also on the board of other reputable companies.

MR. FISAYO OYEDEJI
DIRECTOR

Mr. Fisayo Oyedeji is a 1988 Accounting graduate of the University of Lagos. He has an M.Sc in Management Science from the University of Lagos as well as an M.B.A from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Mr. Oyedeji is an experienced banker who has had varied experience in treasury, investment and corporate finance. He was responsible for establishing the oil and gas business group in Fidelity bank. He was involved in the development of a client portfolio base for oil contractors in City Express Bank, which improved the bank’s bottom-line to an average net yearly profit of N88 million.
Mr. Oyedeji was a managing partner with Tulip and Goldberg Ltd., from where he left to set up Core Trust and Investment Ltd; a financial services firm.

MR. MICHEAL J. GOVAN
DIRECTOR

Mr. Govan serves as the President of the Augustus Group, an International Insurance Consulting & Brokerage Company. The Augustus Group is the exclusive Agent of Mutual Benefits Assurance Company (MBA) in Lagos, Nigeria. The Augustus Groups works with multi-national reinsurance companies and advises MBA with a host of other products including but not exclusively of Life Insurance, Kidnap & Ransom and Mortgage Insurance.
Mr. Govan is also the President of The Legacy Group, providing government relations and strategic communication support to select group of clients. Legacy enjoys a close affiliation with the law firm Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin. Mr. Govan has over 25 years of government and business experience. His understanding of the governmental process and extensive relationships with key leaders around the world enables The Legacy Group to offer effective strategies for corporate and governmental solutions.

MR. DANIEL H. ROSSEN
DIRECTOR

Mr. Rossen has over 20 years experience in underwriting, reinsurance and insurance brokerage as well as in insurance consultancy.
He is an experienced Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and an Associate in reinsurance. Rossen has a 1987 Bachelor of Business Administration degree from University of Cincinnati and a law degree (juris doctorate) from the Indiana University School of Law.
Rossen started his insurance career with the St. Paul Companies in 1987. He was responsible for unit that focused on Fortune 1000 Clients. He specializes in large real estate, manufacturing, wind and earthquake expose accounts, terrorism placements as well as alternative market arrangements, risk transfer programme design and marketing.

DR. MOSES. O. AJAJA
DIRECTOR

A renowned educationist and astute manager, Dr. Ajaja is a graduate of the University of Ibadan. He obtained his M.Sc. and PhD degrees at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, USA. He lectured for over a decade at the University of Lagos before moving to the National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria as its first Research and Development Manager. At NICON he held various top management positions including Assistant General Manager (Investments and Subsidiaries) and Assistant General Manager (Research & Planning) respectively. Dr. Ajaja was once the Ondo State Commissioner for Commerce & Industry and is a Director of other companies.
He was appointed Director, the West African Insurance Institute, Banjul, Gambia on secondment by NICON Plc where he served for four years before his retirement into private business

MRS. IZARENE ZELLOTIS ARET-ADAMS
DIRECTOR

Mrs. I.Z. Aret-Adams is a registered and seasoned administrator. She obtained her training from Upton General Hospital, Slough Backinghamshire and Western District Hospital, Glasgow.
She worked previously with the Delta Clinic, Port Harcourt before joining Shell Staff Clinic, Ogunu, Warri and thereafter worked with the Industrial Gases Limited, Lafia Hospital, Conveyance Nigeria Limited and the Dr. Offong Clinic for many years before she retired.
Mrs. Aret-Adams is widely travelled and she is a member of the Nigerian West Indian Association, Niger Wives Association, The International Women Association and the Nigerian Spinal Cord Association.

FEMI ASENUGA (B.Sc, M.SC, ACII)
GENERAL MANAGER (LIFE & PENSIONS)

An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Nigeria, Femi Asenuga holds a Masters of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos.
Femi was the best graduating student in the finals of the B.Sc. Honours Insurance Examination. He won the Femi Johnson & Co. prize as well as the Unity Life & Fire Insurance Company award for being the best overall graduating student in the department of Insurance for 1989/1990 session.
Asenuga started his Insurance career with Metropolitan Trust Insurance Company in 1993. He moved to Custodian and Allied Insurance as a pioneer Manager in the Underwriting Department.

OLUSEGUN AJIBEWA, (B.Sc, M.Sc, MBA AMNIM, AIPM ANITAD)
CONTROLLER (HUMAN RESOURCES)

Mr. Ajibewa holds 1986 Bachelor of Science (Second Class Upper Division) degree in Psychology and 1988 Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology of the University of Ibadan. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife in 2002.
He is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management; Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute for Training and Development.
He has worked as Human Resources and Administrative Manager in reputable companies: – Timpson Limited, Lennards Nigeria Plc, Nigeria Breweries Plc and Industrial Projects International (Nigeria) Limited as Administrative Manager from where he joined Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc on August 1, 2002 as the Head of Human Resources.

BABATUNDE LAWAL (B.Sc, MBA , ACII)
CONTROLLER (TECHNICAL)

An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He holds Bachelor of Science Degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos and an MBA (Mgt.Tech) from Lagos State University. He has over 16 years cognate Work experience in the insurance industry spanning brokerage, underwriting, reinsurance, risk management and the life sub-sectors. Tunde started his working career with Nigeria Life & Pensions Consultants in 1990, before leaving for Glanvill Einthoven & Co (General Business) in 1993. He moved to Custodian and Allied Insurance as a Pioneer Head of Underwriting in 1995. He left for Royal Trust Assurance in 1996 where he remained for 10 years rising from Deputy Manager to AGM (Technical). He had a short stint at Crusader Insurance (Nig) Plc as Head , Risks Management before joining Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc as Controller, Technical in 2007.

GBENGA AJAYI (B.Sc, MBA ,ACII)
CONTROLLER (MARKETING)

An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He holds Bachelor of Science Degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos and an MBA (Mgt.Tech) from Lagos State University. He has over 20 years Work experience in the insurance industry spanning brokerage, branch agency and risk marketing management. Gbenga started his working career with Cosmic Insurance Brokers and then the Nigeria General Insurance Co. Ltd. He moved to the Financial Assurance Company Ltd in 1993 and EMGAL Assurance Company in 1994. Before leaving for Royal Trust Assurance Ltd in 1996 as Manager Market Development rising to the position AGM / Group Head Marketing. He had a short stint at Crusader Insurance (Nig) Plc as Marketing Coordinator at the acquisition of Royal Trust Assurance Ltd by the company before joining Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc as Controller, Technical in May 2007.

Mr. Richard Ododo is an Insurance graduate of the university of Lagos from where he obtained a degree in 1985. He is a professional marketer and has built an enviable reputation for himself in the sphere of marketing insurance products and services. He is also an expert in Risk management. Mr Richard Ododo is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance brokers.
Mr. Richard Ododo had his working experience spanning over twenty years in various reputation and established insurance institutions. He started his working career with Progressive Insurance Company in 1986 and later joined Noble Assurance in 1992. that same year, he started his brokerage career with Highgate Insurance Brokers ltd where he worked for eight years, rising to the position of Deputy General Manager before resigning to Fountain Insurance Brokers in the year 2001. He was instrumental in the establishment of many branches whilst pioneering their risk management department. He left Fountain in 2005 to join Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc.

Mr. Obafemi Oke is an Accountancy & Finance graduate of Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria.
Femi was with Specomill Textiles as a Senior Accounting Assistant, a senior staff position, between 1985 and 1992. He was also the Finance Accountant of Witt & Busch Limited for over seven year at a management level. He moved from Crunchies Foods Limited where he served for over two years as Head, Finance & Accounts to join Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc as Deputy manager, Finance & Accounts.

Mr Sam Olabanji is a Senior Manager in the Marketing department of the company.
He read insurance with good results at both The Polytechnic, Ibadan and Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Enugu. He also holds MBA degree obtained in 1998 from Bayero University Kano and qualified by examination in 1992 as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII).
His Insurance career began in 1989 with diverse cognate experiences having worked with insurance companies as well as broking outfits. He held various responsible positions while with Highgate Insurance Brokers Ltd, AFN Brokers Ltd, and at Femi Johnson & Co Ltd where he worked with record performances for over ten (10) years in key clients services departments at their major office locations in Ibadan, Lagos and Kano.
Mr. Olabanji moved in year 2002 to become Head – Corporate Marketing at Postal life and General Insurance Company Ltd before joining Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc in year 2005.

MRS. NGOZI OJEOGWU (B.Sc., ACA, ACIT)

Mrs Ngozi Ojeogwu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology with a Second class upper division from the University of Nigeria, Nsuka in 1985.
She had her professional training at Adetona Isichei & Co., which later merged with another firm of Chartered Accountants and changed its name to Akintola Williams Deloitte and Touche. She is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as well as Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and has over 10 years audit experience.
Mrs. Ojeogwu joined Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc in June 2002.

An associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria as well as Insurance graduate of Ibadan Polytechnic with considerable working experience in the insurance Industry.
He started his Insurance career with a stint at Femi Johnson Insurance Brokers at the Executive support service department. Thereafter, he proceeded to Great Nigeria Insurance coy. Ltd. He also worked at Databoard Nigeria Limited, a company that pioneered On-line Insurance Service in Nigeria.
Biyi is an astute goal getter and also a dynamic Insurance practitioner

BAYO AKINMOLADUN (HND, MBA)
REGIONAL HEAD (EASTERN ZONAL OFFICE)

Bayo Akinmoladun graduated from the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State in 1991. He holds a postgraduate diploma in management from University of Calabar and an MBA in Insurance and Risk Management from Enugu State University of Technology popularly known as “ESUT BUSINESS SCHOOL”.
He started his career with Perpetual Assurance Company Limited in 1991 as a corper and a pioneer Accountant.
He later moved to Summit Insurance Company Limited in 1994 from where he joined Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc in 1996 as an assistant to the Head of Finance and Accounts. His exploit in marketing of insurance while in Finance and Accounts department was great which made management to redeploy him to Marketing department.
Mr. Bayo Akinmoladun has over 10 years relevant experience in Accounting, Credit Control, Audit and Insurance. Presently he heads our Eastern Zonal office.
He has attended several courses, workshop, conferences and seminars in the course of his working career.

Mr. Lanre Fatungase holds a Higher National Diploma in Insurance from the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, Enugu State in 1992. He is also an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
He started his Insurance career with Standard Trust Assurance Plc where he worked in various departments of the same company. He was in charge of Underwriting in Kano branch; he also assisted the Branch Manager in the aspect of both Marketing and Underwriting. He has attended several courses and workshops. He joined Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc as an Assistant Manager (Technical).

Toye Makanjuola is an HND graduate of Statistics & Mathematics from Yaba College of Technology. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Edo State University, Ekpoma in 1999.
Toye started his insurance career with Guinea Insurance Plc in 1993 where he worked in various capacities. He had a brief stint at Phoenix Assurance of Nigeria Plc and later moved to Admiral Insurance Company Limited where he served as the Head, Reinsurance/Claims before joining Mutual Benefits Assurance plc as Deputy Manager (Reinsurance).
He has a wide knowledge of all classes and types of reinsurance underwriting and claims. He has attended several courses, workshop and seminars in the course of his working career.

RAMON ODUKALE (B.Sc., Insurance)
REGIONAL HEAD (WESTERN AREA OFFICE)

Mr. Ramon Odukale is an experienced and versatile person whose exceptional records of technical and marketing capabilities in all aspects of insurance have enable him to package insurance to suit the needs of clients.
He worked with J. Akin-George and company, Solid Trust Insurance Brokers and Magnum Trust Insurance brokers.
Mr. Ramon was the Head, Special Risks and Marine at First Chartered Insurance Company Limited before joining Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc.
